Welcome!

These “About Me” pages all sound the same after a while – you don’t really need to know what age I started taking pictures – I don’t even know when it was!

What you do need to know:

I am obsessed with creating as well as documenting/being inspired by the creativity of others and the beauty of nature.

I will be taking photographs for the rest of my life, it’s a simple (and exciting) fact!

I am fascinated by people who are authentic, true to themselves, and brave enough to show that to the world – or my camera.  I also know how hard that is sometimes, and I will fully support you.  Your session with me is a safe space that I treat with respect and privacy.

I want to help you look amazing in photographs, but I want you to look like YOU, not like a fake airbrushed supermodel. Trust me, you are much more beautiful and unique!

I believe in an honest exchange of energy for my time and work – and the most common form of that energy is money. I am open to other kinds of exchanges or bartering on occasion, but please be appreciative of the time, money, and equipment I have invested into a session with you. I promise to bring the best of what I have to offer you, at a rate that is reasonable and sustainable for myself.

So that’s what you need to know – that’s the photographer “me”.  But there are many other sides to me as well…

I live in northern NJ with my amazing husband and we are owned by two cats (Josephine and Stevie).  I am addicted to learning new things, from crafts/jewelry/knitting to horseback riding to henna to fire spinning to e-courses.  We attend Burning Man and local burner or alternative events.  We are adventurous homebodies, currently planning our next adventure of buying an RV and converting it to sustainable energy sources. We are both gamers and geeks, and enjoy geocaching.  I’m a Scorpio, a Reiki master, former vegetarian (it is the bacon’s fault….), a Doctor Who/Buffy/Firefly/Neil Gaiman fan, and occasionally a jogger. I believe life is lived in each moment and that gratitude, a positive attitude, and love will always conquer all.

This is my living faith, an active faith, a faith of verbs: to question, explore, experiment, experience, walk, run, dance, play, eat, love, learn, dare, taste, touch, smell, listen, argue, speak, write, read, draw, provoke, emote, scream, sin, repent, cry, kneel, pray, bow, rise, stand, look, laugh, cajole, create, confront, confound, walk back, walk forward, circle, hide, and seek. To seek: to embrace the questions, be wary of answers.
